The spin-offs frequently use events and characters from the main series and each other, so should be read last and together. They introduce most of the important characters for the spin-offs. Expect lots of 'oh.I remember where this guy popped up again' or 'so THAT's why she said that!' moments, plus some insight into secondary characters' motivations. The anthologies fill in parts of the backstories of the main series' characters that weren't required for the main plot.Inserting the spinoffs chronologically would only serve to interrupt its flow with peripheral diversions. The main series builds up all its characters easily enough to fill their roles in it, and follows one character's story almost continuously. My recommendation would be to read the main series in publication order followed by the anthologies likewise, then the two spin-off series together in (in-verse) chronological order. Strangely enough, I mused about this a few days ago - I read the entire lot since Christmas in a rather strange order, so I was wondering how I should have done it. Read them in publication order, otherwise the later main-series books lack a lot of important context. ![]() ![]() ![]() EDIT: In hindsight, I don't think this was good advice. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() With that being said, you always have to remember that if you have sex on your fertile days you’ll be relying on the effectiveness of the barrier method or other forms of birth control that you’re using. Once you become confident in identifying your fertile days you can choose to use barrier methods on your fertile days, or have alternative sex with your partner without any genital to genital contact. The great thing about using fertility awareness is that it puts you in the driver’s seat. Fertility Awareness is based on learning to pinpoint your fertile window and the high effectiveness rate of the method is based on avoiding sexual intercourse on your fertile days. The Fertility Awareness Method is a natural hormone-free method of birth control that when used correctly is actually more effective than the pill. ![]() |
